1. Dữ liệu chúng tôi thu thập
-
Email — khi bạn tạo tài khoản (bằng email/mật khẩu hoặc Sign in with
Apple).
Toàn bộ thanh toán do Apple xử lý — Hadi không bao giờ nhìn thấy số thẻ, thông

Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.)
-
- Dữ liệu: thông tin đăng nhập Apple ID (Sign in with Apple), dữ liệu giao dịch mua hàng.
APPI (Act on the Protection of Personal Information); Việt Nam có Luật Bảo
vệ dữ liệu cá nhân (PDPL) 2025.
6. Dữ liệu của bạn được lưu ở đâu
-
nơi bạn sinh sống hoặc quy định của cơ sở đào tạo yêu cầu. Hadi chỉ là công cụ ghi & dịch;

Privacy Policy — Hadi

noohoa6@gmail.com
Hadi is a real-time lecture recording and translation app (speech-to-text plus cross-language
translation), built for students — including in medical-education settings. This page explains
exactly what data Hadi collects, why, who processes it, and your rights.
1. Data we collect
-
Email address — when you create an account (with email/password or Sign in
with Apple). Anyone can sign up; no approval is required. After verifying your email, your
account receives 1 free hour of recording/translation per month (one free grant per email
per cycle; some disposable/one-time email domains are excluded). Your email is used to
authenticate and identify your account.
-
User-generated content: speech transcripts and their translations for your
recording sessions, text you type for translation, photos you choose to translate, and
speaking-practice sentences. This is user content, linked to your account if you're signed
in.
-
No audio is stored for live recording. Session audio is streamed in real
time to a speech-recognition service to produce text, then discarded immediately — Hadi does
not record or retain the session's audio files on-device or on any server.
-
Audio/video files you upload yourself (Speaking Practice feature) — stored
temporarily. Unlike live recording above, when you use the Speaking Practice feature
to upload an existing audio or video file, that file is uploaded to our server (Cloud
Storage) to be transcribed. It is deleted as soon as transcription finishes and the app has
received the result; if the app never comes back to fetch the result (for example, it was
uninstalled mid-process), an automated cleanup job runs every hour and removes any leftover
file within a few hours. The file is never kept permanently.
-
Student ID photo — if you use photo-based student verification (when your
email is not on a recognized school domain), Hadi stores the photo you upload in a private
storage area that only you and an administrator can access. A human administrator reviews the
photo to approve or reject the request. As soon as a decision is made (approved or rejected),
the photo is deleted from our server — it is not kept any longer than needed
for review.
-
Profile photo and display name — if you set them in the app's Profile
screen. You pick the photo from your photo library; our server re-encodes it and
strips all metadata (EXIF, including GPS location) before storing it. The
photo sits in a private storage area that only you and an administrator can
access — it is never shown to other users. The previous photo is deleted when you
change or remove it, and every profile photo is deleted with your account.
-
Support requests with photos/videos — if you send a support request in the
app (Settings → Support), Hadi stores what you wrote, the topic, the app version and any
screenshots/screen recordings you attach (up to 5 files) in a private storage area linked to
your account. Only administrators can view them, and only to answer your request. Requests and
their attachments are automatically deleted after 90 days, or immediately when
you delete your account.
-
In-app support chat — if you message us from the support section of the
app, Hadi stores the conversation, any attachments you send and the time of each message,
linked to your account. Hadi staff and administrators can view them in order to reply. When
you agree to the AI assistant, the text of your messages (not photos or
attachments) is sent to Anthropic (Claude) to draft a reply — or to Google Gemini if
Anthropic's service is temporarily unavailable; you can choose to message staff only, in
which case none of it is sent to an AI service. Conversations and attachments are automatically deleted 90 days
after the last message, or immediately when you delete your account.
Hadi shows no ads, does not track you across other apps or
websites, and does not sell your data to any third party.
2. Purchases
On iOS, Hadi sells auto-renewing monthly plans and one-time hour passes (Hadi
Pass) through Apple's In-App Purchase. Monthly plans automatically renew and
charge your Apple ID unless you cancel before the current period ends; manage or cancel
auto-renewal under Settings (device) → [your name] → Subscriptions. All payment is
processed by Apple — Hadi never sees your card number, banking details, or
any payment information. After a purchase is
confirmed, Hadi records on your account: hours remaining, the plan you bought, and per-feature
usage counts (for example, how many times you re-translated a session, or looked something
up). This data is used only to track your entitlement correctly and for no other purpose.
3. Notifications and email
Hadi has an in-app notification inbox and sends a small set of transactional emails to your
registered address: email verification, password reset, purchase receipts, and reminders when
your hours or plan are about to expire. Hadi may also send marketing/informational email (news,
offers); you can opt out of this kind of email at any time from Settings or via
the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email, without affecting the transactional emails
listed above, which are not opt-out-able.
4. Data processors
To provide recording, translation, and AI-powered tools, Hadi sends data to the specialized
service providers listed below. These act as processors on Hadi's behalf, not as independent
third parties using your data for their own purposes — each is bound by contractual security
commitments and applicable data-protection law. The app asks for your consent before first
sending content to these services (consent screen shown before your first recording; you can
review it under Settings › Privacy; the AI assistant in support chat has its own consent
screen, shown before your first message to the assistant). Hadi does not use your content for advertising, and does
not sell or share it with anyone else.
Soniox — speech recognition (converts audio to text) with real-time
translation for live recording, and transcription of files you upload for speaking practice.
During live recording, audio is streamed directly from the app to Soniox's servers;
Hadi does not store audio files from live recording on its side. See section
1 for files you upload yourself for practice.
Google Gemini — translates transcript text (not audio) into the target
language, and powers re-translate, summary, mind maps, speaking-style labels, Hanja/word
lookup, sentence explanations in speaking practice, translation of photos you choose to
translate, and drafting replies in the support chat when Anthropic's service is temporarily
unavailable (message text only, once you have agreed to the AI assistant).
Anthropic (Claude) — drafts the AI assistant's replies in the app's support
chat. It receives only the text of the last few messages in the conversation
plus Hadi's FAQ, once you have agreed to the AI assistant; it does not receive audio, lecture
content, photos or attachments.
Google Cloud Vision — detects the position of text in photos you choose to
translate (used together with Gemini for the Image Translation feature above).
Apple — speech recognition when you dictate text in the Translate tab. For
languages your device can recognise on the device itself, the audio does not leave it; for
the others, the audio is sent to Apple's servers for recognition, and you are asked for
consent first. You can change your choice in Settings › Recording & translation. Hadi does
not store this audio.
Platform infrastructure — account authentication, the database used for sync,
temporary storage of files you upload for speaking practice and storage of profile photos
(Cloud Storage), and hosting for this page, via Firebase (Google).
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., USA) — crash and error reporting. When the
app crashes or hits a connection problem, Hadi sends
technical information to
Sentry so we can fix it: device model, iOS version, app version, error codes, and
purely operational metrics about a recording session (number of reconnects,
session duration, segment count, microphone input level in dBFS, average speech-recognition
confidence).
Never sent: audio, transcript text, translations, session titles, email
addresses, or any content you create. Crash reports are
not linked to your identity (we do not attach your account ID to them). See
Sentry's privacy policy.
5. Cross-border data transfer
Because Hadi's data processors (section 4) operate servers abroad, your data is
transferred outside Vietnam when you use the corresponding features. Below is
each recipient, the country where it processes data, the data categories, the purpose, when
the transfer happens, and how long that recipient retains the data.
Soniox — United States
- Data: live-recording audio (streamed); files you upload yourself for speaking practice.
- Purpose: speech recognition + real-time translation (live); transcription of practice files.
- When: when you use live recording or Speaking Practice.
-
Retention at Soniox: per Soniox's own data-processing terms — Hadi itself does not store
live-recording audio (see section 1).
Google Gemini (Google LLC) — United States
- Data: transcript text, text you type, speaking-practice sentences, photos you choose to translate; support-chat message text when Anthropic is temporarily unavailable.
-
Purpose: translation, re-translation, summaries, mind maps, speaking-style labels, Hanja
lookup, sentence explanations in speaking practice, image translation, backup for the AI
assistant in support chat.
- When: when you use the corresponding features.
- Retention at Google: per Google's own data-processing terms.
Anthropic (Anthropic, PBC) — United States
- Data: the text of the last few messages in the support chat (no photos or attachments).
- Purpose: drafting the AI assistant's replies in the support chat.
- When: when you message in the support chat and have agreed to the AI assistant.
- Retention at Anthropic: per Anthropic's own data-processing terms.
Google Cloud Vision (Google LLC) — United States
- Data: photos you choose to translate.
- Purpose: detect the position of text in the photo.
- When: when you use Image Translation.
- Retention at Google: per Google's own data-processing terms.
Apple (Apple Inc.) — United States and the countries where Apple operates
- Data: the audio you speak when dictating, only for languages the device cannot recognise on the device.
- Purpose: speech-to-text recognition.
- When: when you use voice input and have agreed.
- Retention at Apple: per Apple's privacy policy.
Google Cloud / Firebase
-
Country: Firebase Authentication runs on Google's global cloud
infrastructure and is not tied to one fixed country. The project's Cloud
Firestore (database) and Cloud Functions (server logic) run in
the
asia-northeast1 region (Tokyo) — Japan.
Cloud Storage (temporary storage for practice files, profile photos) is in the
us-east1 region — United States.
- Data: email, user ID, display name, profile photo, transcripts, translations, purchase history, temporary practice files.
- Purpose: account authentication, data storage & sync, running server logic.
- When: continuously, for as long as you use your account.
-
Retention: per Google Cloud's own data-processing terms; this is
necessary infrastructure to provide the service — there is no
alternative.
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.)
-
Country: Sentry's default SaaS infrastructure is based in the United States; Hadi has
not been able to verify the exact data region the organization uses from
the source code (the DSN address lives only in an environment variable, not committed to
the repo).
- Data: technical/operational information, no PII (see section 4).
- Purpose: crash and performance reporting.
- When: when the app crashes or hits a connection problem.
- Retention at Sentry: per Sentry's own data-processing terms.
Resend — United States
- Data: email address.
- Purpose: sending transactional email (email verification, password reset, deletion confirmation, purchase receipts...).
- When: whenever the system needs to send a transactional email.
- Retention at Resend: per Resend's own data-processing terms.
Apple — United States
- Data: Apple ID sign-in information (Sign in with Apple), purchase transaction data.
- Purpose: authentication via Apple, in-app purchase payment processing.
- When: when you sign in with Apple or purchase on iOS.
- Retention at Apple: per Apple's privacy policy.
How to refuse: the app asks for your consent before you first use an AI
feature. If you decline, live recording, translation, summaries, lookup and explanations are
unavailable, and no data is sent to Soniox, Gemini or Cloud Vision. For the AI assistant in support chat,
choosing “Message staff only” means the conversation is not sent to Anthropic or Gemini. You can also
delete your account at any time (section 7).
Transferring account/storage data to Google Cloud is necessary infrastructure
for Hadi to operate and has no opt-out.
On the data-protection regimes of the recipient countries (informational, not legal advice):
the United States has no single comprehensive federal data-protection law —
protection comes from state/sector-specific laws and from each provider's own contractual
commitments and data-processing terms; Japan has the Act on the Protection of
Personal Information (APPI); Vietnam has the Law on Protection of Personal
Data (PDPL) 2025.
6. Where your data lives
-
On your device: transcripts and translations are stored locally via SQLite
— the app works fully offline.
-
On the server (if signed in): synced to Firestore, scoped strictly to
your own account. Security Rules block cross-user access entirely — only
the account owner can read or write their data.
7. Your rights
- Delete any individual session — directly in the app.
-
Delete your entire account and all server-side data — go to
Settings → Delete account. Hadi
sends a confirmation link to your account's email address (the link expires after 30
minutes); your account and all server-side data (sessions, transcripts, translations...)
are only deleted once you open the email and click that link. On-device data is removed
after you confirm. This cannot be undone. Any active App Store
plan/subscription is not automatically cancelled when you delete your
account — cancel it separately under
Settings (device) → [your name] → Subscriptions to avoid being charged again.
8. Data retention
Data (transcripts, translations, account email) is kept until you actively delete it — per
session or by deleting your account. Hadi does not automatically delete your data after a
fixed period, except support requests, support chats and their attachments, which are deleted after 90 days.
